The Microsoft XBox360 was hacked four months after release.
The humble DVD was first cracked a good three years after release.
The Playstation 3 lasted a good three years after its release before it was hacked and is still quite secure in the newest firmware revisions.
The Playstation Portable, notorious for the amount of piracy, lasted a good five months before it was hacked.
Most of these platforms were updated by the manufacturer stopping further piracy with varying degrees of success.
So the next time someone claims a new hardware platform, or even piece of software will be hacked within a week, take that claim with a pinch of salt.
